HELP WANTED – Cavalier County – Deputy Tax Director

Cavalier County has an opening for a Deputy Tax Director position, four (4) days per week. The Deputy Tax Director is an appointed position and is responsible for assisting the Tax Director in ensuring that all real property within the county receives a uniform assessment (by working with township and city assessors in the county).  The Deputy Tax Director will also conduct appraisal and assessment work of agricultural (including soil assessments), commercial, and residential properties and mobile homes within the county for taxation purposes. Applicants must be able to work independently, communicate effectively with members of the public, prioritize importance of work, and meet deadlines in a timely manner. This position requires an extreme attention to detail and experience working with numbers.  Two to four years of college level schooling or equivalent experience is recommended.

Starting salary will be $2,502.00 – $3,030.00/month; full retirement and family health insurance benefits offered.
